I am working on a text document that is currently 127 pages long. Each time I try ro access the dictionary with any document, the system hangs (not responding). I tried exiting, rebooting and coming back into Libre Office, and I have to recover the document which I thought I had just saved. If I use the dictionary, the system hangs again. Paul Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.2.5.2 release
Does the system hang with any other documents? Can you give access to the document causing the freeze so it can be tested on another system? Thanks for reporting. Changing the status to NeedInfo. Change it back if you are able to give us the file to test. Thanks.

Thanks for the attachment, Paul. Test System: Kubuntu 14.04 (KDE 4.13.2) LibreOffice 4.2.4.2 On my system, the christmas.odt file opens fine and using the Tools -> Spelling and Grammar option gives me the expected dialog and suggestions to correct words (mostly names, I think). That suggests a couple of possibilities: - This file needs to be tested on another Windows machine. I'll CC another QA person. - Your installation of either the dictionary or of LibreOffice is corrupted, somehow. Can you try uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling to see if that helps? I'll leave this entry marked NeedInfo for now, but at the moment, it seems not to be a generic bug.
Hi Paul, I tried your attached document on 4.2.5 on Windows 7 and didnt have any problems. I think you should try clearing your user profile by follow the instructions at the following link < http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/903/where-are-the-libreoffice-data-profile-files/ >. I'd also suggest you to check which dictionaries are installed by opening the Tools menu and clicking on Extension Manager.
