Problem description: Presentation does not show speaker notes in Word Steps to reproduce: 1. Create presentation with speaker notes. 2. Save presentation as ppt or pptx 3. Open ppt in Microsoft Word. 4. In Microsoft Word select View| Notes Page 5. No Speaker notes Current behavior: Speaker notes are not visible Expected behavior: Speaker notes visible Operating System: Fedora Version: 4.2.5.2 release
> 3. Open ppt in Microsoft Word. Perhaps you meant Microsoft Powerpoint? I don't have MSO, but trying with PPT created in LO 4.2.6.2 under Ubuntu 12.04 x86 and open that in Kingsoft 2013 then I can see the notes. Could you test LO 4.2.6.2 ?

I did mean Microsoft Powerpoint. I can view the speaker notes in Libreoffice on other machines. I can view some of the speaker notes in Microsoft Powerpoint 2010 but in Microsoft Powerpoint 2013 the speaker notes do not show. Thanks.
Ok then we set this UNCONFIRMED to let someone with MSO 2013 confirm that
@s.wilson, it's good if you can attach sample file (created with LO) which is visible in MSO 2010 but not visible in MSO 2013
Further research shows that in PP for extended speaker notes they do not show unless the user selects View| Notes Page. If the speaker notes are 1 or 2 words then they show in the bottom window (Notes secton) of normal view.
Created attachment 105175 [details] Example ppt file Both slides have Notes. Only 1 shows in Normal View Created a .ppt file in Powerpoint 2007 under Windows Vista File contained Notes Pages that could be viewed in Normal View. Edited file in LibreOffice under Windows 8.1 updated one Notes page. Saved file Edited file in Powerpoint 2007 under Windows Vista No Notes Pages could be viewed in Normal View - but they could be seen in Print Preview and also viewed and edited in View > Edit Notes Pages Copied a slide from another presentation which happened to have a Notes Page in Normal View. Edited slide and Notes Page. Edited matching (old) slide & Notes Page. 2 slides now almost identical, but one Notes Page can be seen in Normal View, the other can't. Both Notes Pages can be seen in View > Edit Notes Pages.
please retest with LibO 4.3.4.1 is bug still there?
(In reply to tommy27 from comment #7) > please retest with LibO 4.3.4.1 > is bug still there? Retestest. Now when opening the ppt in Powerpoint 2013 the notes are visible but the slides are not for ppts saves as .pptx (2007/2010/2010 xml format). For ppts saved in .ppt (97/2000/XP/2003 format) the notes and slide are visible. Thanks!
