Problem description: Bought 3 identical HP EliteBook 8530w laptops for myself and two sons, running Windows 7. All run identical WebRoot antivirus software. Downloaded LibreOffice 4.2.5.2 to my laptop - no problem. Attempted to download 4.2.6.2 and 4.3. on my sons' computers multiple times. Each attempt results in a "download failed" message. Appears to simply stop downloading around 1/2 through the download. Doesn't matter whether I use Firefox or Explorer. Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ 2. Under MAin Installer, click the big green Download Version4.3 button, or click the Change link and select 4.2.6 SecFix, then the big green Download Version 4.2.6 SecFix Button 3. Click Save File in the dialog box that pops up 4. Watch the download bar travel across the screen, freeze at 91 of 211MB downloaded, then generate a Failed message Current behavior: Won't download Expected behavior: Download and install Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.2.6.2 release
What about if you temporarily disable WebRoot antivirus?
Is your antivirus configured exactly with the same parameters on each PC? For example did you setup some parental controls on the PCs where downloading does not work? Best regards. JBF
