Hi sabaridevi,

I don't reproduce using LO 4.3.2.2 with Windows 7 Home Premium.
When I put cursor within a cell, CTRL+A select the content of the cell.
On which Windows OS do you work? XP, 7, 8?...

Thanks sabaridevi,

Can you try:
Double clic to put cursor into a cell and got to menu Edit > Select All
This is aanother way to get the same result as CTRL+A.
Do you still select the whole sheet or only the content of the cell?

If you get the same result than before, can you try to rename your profile:

I try the method u said, Double clic to put cursor into a cell and got to menu Edit > Select All

then also it select the content of particular cell only where u place the cursor itself, not the whole content.

os-windows7 ultimate
libre ofce : 4.3.0.2

Current version for branch 4.3 is 4.3.2, two bugfixes since the release of 4.3.0.
Please upgrade your LibreOffice installation and try again.

To Comment 6:
Do I understand that right, that you want the whole cell (not only the text in the cell) to look like selected (marked as blue as if you select the whole sheet)?

yes i want to select the whole cell, not the text in the particular cell..

@sabaridevi: But why is it not enough if only the cell content is selected (shown as selected)? If you copy it then the whole cell is copied and in the new cell you have an one-to-one copy of the copied cell.

I see it, but what do you want to do with the in that form selected cell? I suppose you need it for something you want to do with this cell?

Hello sabaridevi,
you can select whole cell with mouse - click in the cell and hold the button down, drag the cursor into an adjoining cell and back to the original cell, release the button. The cell stays selected. You can not do this with Crtl+A. This is not a bug.
