After a while adding and editing custom animation effects on two objects I found that the Timing dialog has become much wider (for the effects on that slide not on other slides in the same presentation) I can stretch the height and width of the dialog to larger dimensions but cannot stretch the width back to the original size (it is now 1194 pixels wide after two sucessive spurious enlargements)
I have been editing timing items.
