Description Robert Orzanna 2014-11-17 11:58:51 UTC
Hi there,

I would like to hear your opinion on adding support for placing comments on pictures in Libre Office Writer.

I am used to this functionality from Google Docs and find it very useful to have comments on pictures, such as graphs or diagrams.

Thanks for considering my request,

Robert

There was a proposal for comments on pictures and tables, made in old OOo times: https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Notes2_Design_NoteAnchor#Proposal_.22Boxes_for_Special_Objects.22

Miklos Vajna implemented comment functionality on frames (images and charts) for at-char and as-char anchor types. His work will be available in TDF’s next release 6.4.

Does someone know the commit with which this bug was fixed? Miklos?

Grep for 'sw comments on frames' in commit messages, 'sw comments on frames: fix UI to be able to annotate with at-char anchors' is probably the "the" commit where this started working (5cb34f1c38be72047be1c4ed8357c5e87134c6a2).
