Sample screenshot of results.

I am attempting to paste the contents of documents into new documents and when I click Format>AutoCorrect>Apply, it goes through the document and does not apply any of the rules stated in it's settings. I try again but "Apply and Edit Changes" and it shows nothing has been changed.

Please provide clearer instructions that tell us how to reproduce and then set the bug to UNCONFIRMED. The given instructions are insufficient to tell us what to do in order to see the problem.

I open a text document in notepad, copy and paste it into Libre writer, I apply auto correct and nothing changes, no smartquotes applied, no ... converted to ellipsis. It used to do it in earlier versions. here is some sample text you can try for yourself...

I felt something warm hit my head, which was odd at this time, for winter had long since set in. My sister, older than me by a few years, recoiled as I pulled back my hand. "Oh...yuck!" She held her nose," Here...lemme get that for you." She took a bit of her tattered shirt and rubbed what she could from my hair. "There...is that all better?" She gave me a comforting smile that seemed to warmed my heart like nothing else. I needed all the warmth I could get nowadays.
"Rose..." I sniffled as my tiny nose began to run,"I’m so cold...I wish..."But my throat tightened and the words wouldn’t come out. I had to turn away and look out towards a towering structure to hide my tears. Rose patted me on the back and looked up at the huge stony building. "Castle Fairfax looks so nice in the snow...Wish we could live there." Her smile faded and she turned towards the street.

it works for me under Win7x64 using LibO 4.3.3.2

check "Tools/Autocorrect Options" and see if you have the "double quotes" flagged under "localized options" and if there's a "... to ellipsis" replacement under "replace"

Momoe,

Your attachment, file_86477.txt, is not in fact a screenshot. If you
think we need the sample screenshot, can you try again, please?

Terry.
