When merging cells having values/formulas in cells to be hide a question about move the content of hidden cells to the first is showed, answering not hidden cells keep their values/formulas. See in columns K+J in your modified sample file.

Hi dazky - First let me apologize for the delay, QA team has been really busy and we missed some of these older reports. That being said, I hate to say that I have to throw this back into NEEDINFO. The attachment is WAY to complicated. We need a VERY simple test case demonstrating the issue. This has way too many comments to follow and might even be showing different issues. Please attach a very very simple (it seems like 3 values would be enough to demonstrate whatever problem you're seeing) attachment and then set to unconfirmed. I will try to move it forward as soon as you do. Also it would be nice if you check with 5.0.2.2 or later to verify the issue still exists. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
