Two numbered lists with fonts linked together which can't have a different font for the numbers for each list.

It seems to be impossible to change the font of the first or second list of numbers without affecting the numbers of the other list. I am not sure if it's a real bug or I'm doing something wrong.

Both lists have each got a different numbering style, but the fonts of the numbers keep being linked together. If you change the font with the toolbar, it changes the font for both lists and when you change the font in the style window, it doesn't change.

I have added the .odt file where this happens. It's bothering me for over a year and all versions I have used didn't have this problem fixed. I've ignored it for a long time, so all my reports for school have this annoying difference in font.

If it is something I'm doing wrong and not a bug, I'm sorry for bothering you! It's my first time reporting a bug to you!

Btw I use the dutch version of LibreOffice Writer 4.3.5.2

Hi David,

Thanks for the report and using LibreOffice of course :)

At the tab Options in the dialog for the _list styles_, you can select a character style. And thus apply a different one (created by yourself if you so like).

So I set this as WorksForMe.
In doubt, for questions you may first want to try the user support, e.g.
  http://nl.libreoffice.org/ondersteuning/mailinglijsten/
or

Cheers,
Cor

Hello Cor,

Thanks for the reply. Your explanation worked for me! Though, I think it's a bit strange what I have to do to get it done.

I used two different styles of numbering lists, so one list is numbering style 1 and the second list numbering style 2. Then I went to the option tab of the style from _list styles_ and changed the character style from numbering symbols to bullets of the first list. I can choose any style if I'd like, like pagenumbers. This allowed me to change the font of each list without affecting the other.

The common mind would change the font of one list by selecting the numbers of the list and using the toolbar font selecter, without changing the character style. The thing that is even stranger is that, for the character style, I obviously use a numbering symbol for both lists and not bullets or pagenumbers.

What could be improven, is making two list styles not affect eachother. Even though they have the same character style, like numbering symbols.

I'm glad I found a 'workaround' for changing the fonts independantly, thanks again!

Warm regards,
David

Hallo David,

As far as I understand initially you used direct formatting to change the characters in the list. So there is a paragraph style, list style and direct formatting.. You only get full control when using styles consequently, I think.

You're welcome, even if I don't consider it a workaround ;)
