Desktop after application stopped responding.

Overview: More detailed restatement of summary.

CentOS-6.6
Gnome-session-2.28.0

When attempting to save an edited Base form most, but not all, of the open desktop applications stop responding. See screen shot.

May be related to 88253?

Steps to Reproduce:

TBD

Actual Results:

The application ceased responding. Moving of other desktop windows over the application windows wiped the display clan and no refresh occurred. Desktop window applications open after the event seemed to operate normall.

Expected Results:

Application should not stop responding. If error condition encountered with save then this should be reported and the save abandoned. A timeout graud condition should check for unreasonable delay in completion and return control back to the application for further user action.

Attempts to launch the LO4.3 application following this incident does not result in a new open window on the desktop. The application seems to be running still.

@James : CentOS was known to have problems running LO, especially if the distro-provided package pyuno was installed. Perhaps check that there is no conflict on your system with regard to pyuno ?
Comment 4 Alex Thurgood 2015-01-14 15:26:15 UTC
Are you saving the form within the Base file, or to an external location ?

Setting to NEEDINFO
Comment 5 James B. Byrne 2015-01-14 16:08:36 UTC
This attempted save was to the currently opened odb project file.
Comment 6 Alex Thurgood 2015-01-16 11:24:59 UTC
@Lionel, Julie : this might be reproducible on a Redhat machine - can you think of anyone ?
Comment 7 Julien Nabet 2015-01-16 13:46:02 UTC
Alex: perhaps with virtualbox too?
(BTW: my name is "Julien", not "Julie". "Julie" is for girls, at least in France :-))

Tried editing & saving a form in attachment 110813 [details], but could not get it to freak out.

Can it be reproduced with any form created from scratch? Set to NEEDINFO.
