I translate the Roger Sauret's message above for the non-French speakers: When we insert a picture on a document and apply a mirror effect, it appear in "original direction" in the print preview (it's not taken into account). However, printing picture is in the right orientation. But with the function "PDF extport", the picture is not mirrored in the produced document.
Petite question, quelle version de LibreOffice utilises-tu ? A little question, what version of LibreOffice did you use ?
4.2.8 like all 4.X versions are EOL (End Of Life so not maintained).
If you use the 4.2.8.2 release yet as we suppose, your soft is obsolete since long-time now. This bug is certainly fix in the latest releases.
Si tu es sous Linux comme l'indique le ticket et que tu as encore la version 4.2, c'est que ta distribution n'est pas à jour non plus. Il faut mettre à niveau ton Linux. If you are on Linux like notified in your ticket and have the 4.2 release, your distribution is over. You need to upgrade your OS.
I partially reproduce the problem in LO 5.1.4.0.0+, LO 5.2.0.0.beta1+ and master under Ubuntu 16.04 x86-64: 1/ printing is correct (tested by printing in a file and using CUPS pdf printer) 2/ PDF export is correct; this part of the bug report seems to have been fixed somewhere before LO 5.1 3/ only preview in the print dialog does not show the image as flipped. Steps to reproduce: - open the attached file, it show to LibreOffice logo flipped vertically. - menu File > Export as PDF -> result OK - menu File > Print preview ("Aperçu" in French UI) -> preview OK - menu Print -> preview in the dialog box: image not flipped printed result: OK Setting status to NEW. Summary updated with only the preview part. Best regards. JBF

(In reply to shunesburg69 from comment #2) > Petite question, quelle version de LibreOffice utilises-tu ? > > A little question, what version of LibreOffice did you use ? Sous Trusty, la version 4.2.8.2, et sous Xenial, la 5.1.0.3 Ce sont les versions standard des dépôts. Under Trusty, the version 4.2.8.2 and, under Xenial, the 5.1.0.3 These are the standard versions in the repositories.
I reproduce the problem in LO 5.1.3.2 under Archlinux x86-64: 1/ printing is correct (tested by printing in a file ) 2/ PDF export is correct 3/ only preview in the print dialog does not show the image as flipped. Regards Trentanel
Roger: Trusty has been released 2 years ago (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_%28operating_system%29) so that's normal it embeds an old LO version. You can find recent version by using ppa (see https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa) Anyway, I could reproduce Joren's and Trentanel's comment with master sources updated today on pc Debian x86-64.
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Under Xenial 16.04 and the version 5.1.6.2 of LO (current version for me), I note : - In print preview (Aperçu in french) the picture is is correctly oriented. - In print function, the picture is correctly oriented on output, but the thumbnail stand in original orientation. - In export to PDF format, the picture is not correctly oriented on output. - In preview in web navigator, the picture is not correctly oriented too. Conclusion: For me, the bug is ever present in some parts of print functions in LO 5.1.6.2. It's not corrected from version 4.2.8.2 or this is regression.
Still reproducible with LO 5.4.4.0.0+ and current master under Ubuntu 16.04 x86-64. Best regards. JBF
Same issue as in bug 98482. Closing as RESOLVED DUPLICATED *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98482 ***
