This is beyond words. With version 5.1.x I've started again to create versions v1, v2, ... due to frequent crashes and file corruptions. But today I twice had the case that LO silently overwrites a newer file with an older version when trying to restore the file after a crash. For some reason LO had complained about missing rights when writing the backup file (has never done this before on all the crashes). WTF are you people doing?! This has cost me half a days work which I cannot afford.
Please try to get info on the crash: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information

In LO versions > 5.1 this bug hasn't happened to me any more - changing the status to resolved as I seem to be the only one affected.
