Installing 5.2 on ubuntu 16.04 fails.  It says there is a problem overwriting  "minidump_upload' and the lodevbasis5.2-core fails to install, followed by many other consequent errors.

This can be overcome by doing:

sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite *.deb

But it took me a devil of a long time to find out how to do this.

Thank you for taking the time to report this! That command is, indeed, a way to work around this issue in the mean time. We have already received a report on this, so I’m marking this one as a duplicate.
