Description AS 2016-06-29 05:36:05 UTC
LibreOffice 5.0.6, Win 7 PRO SP1 64 Bit, different Hardware and different Users

When we open a LO File, nothing happens. LO will not open. The Taskmanager shows multiple instances of soffice.exe and soffice.bin. The only way to stop the hang is to use the Taskmanager and end all these processes. Then i can open the file i want.
This happens very often.
Comment 1 AS 2016-06-29 08:22:05 UTC
- Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help.
- A clean user profile did not help.
- No entry in the Logfile or Eventvwr.
Comment 2 Buovjaga 2016-07-02 11:44:26 UTC
Could you test with the latest version, 5.1.4?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
Comment 3 AS 2016-07-12 04:49:35 UTC
Thanks for your answer.

I have attached a dumpfile (hanging process). Maybe it helps?
In next time we will test LO 5.1.4.
Comment 4 AS 2016-07-12 04:55:50 UTC
Oops, it doesn't work. The file is too large.

> Oops, it doesn't work. The file is too large.

Does it get smaller, if you zip it?

If you like, you could try analyzing the dump: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg#Producing_a_mini_dump
The beginning of the article guides you to install and setup WinDbg.
