Description Thomas Krumbein 2016-08-16 13:23:35 UTC
unfortunatly it is not longer possible to reach frame options via menu-entry.
should be redesigned - add it to Menü "format"

Do the following:

- open a new writer document
- create a (text-) frame: menu insert - frame - frame interactive
- draw the frame
- select the frame - and now try to enter the property-dialog

Only possible via kontextmenu (object...) - there is no menu-entry. the sidebar shows just two options - and open different dialogs.

the toolbar do not have a (visible) icon for properties.

In version LO 5.1.x and prior there was all teh time a menu-entry "properties" or "options" which open the options dialog.
Now this entry is missing.

please redesign!

Properties are still in the main menu under Format > Frame and Object. Resolves as WORKSFORME, and you?

Btw, "Object..." is not a good menu entry. Better use "Properties".

Sorry, disagree.

In my opinion "properties" should be ever a first level entry. Only if most of the properties are direct visible in the sidebar, we can use a lower level of menu-entry.

BTW: "Object.." is a correct menu-entry. A frame is an object of the document - like a picture or a graphic. And there are some more objects possible. Objects do have properties - so this is a correxct menu-entry

Okay, accepted. But can we close this ticket as you asked about access to frame properties.

Agree with Heiko that is in the correct place in the menu and has an entry in the context menu, though the entry should be called 'Properties...'. For the quickest access to properties, double-click on the frame.

If you would like it in a different place in the menu Thomas, you can change it in Tools > Customize > Menus.
