Description Bill Derham 2016-08-28 10:30:27 UTC
AFter updating from LibreOffice 5.1.4.2 to 5.1.5.2, all documents previously created became READ ONLY and I could not unlock them. I tried to save a document with a new name and I was told I did not have permission to save to my normal folders in Windows. I tried opening and saving the same documents in MS Word 2010 and Word Perfect X6 and there was no problem. I have WP and MS Word but I mostly prefer Libre Office because of the flexibility in switching between English and German. I uninstalled LibreOffice 5.1.5.2 and reinstalled 5.1.4.2 and the problem disappeared. The only difference in my installation of the newer build of LibreOffice was that I opted to let LibreOffice start when Window (8.1) opened. When I reinstalled 5.1.4.2, I did not opt to open Libre Office when Windows started.

Would you be willing to try with 5.2.1?

Hello Bill,

Unfortunately it hasn't been possible for me to reproduce the problem with the provided instructions. If possible, create and attach a screencast showing the steps. There are various free screencast software available for use, including Camstudio and screencast-o-matic.com.
