AFter updating from LibreOffice 126.96.36.199 to 188.8.131.52, all documents previously created became READ ONLY and I could not unlock them. I tried to save a document with a new name and I was told I did not have permission to save to my normal folders in Windows. I tried opening and saving the same documents in MS Word 2010 and Word Perfect X6 and there was no problem. I have WP and MS Word but I mostly prefer Libre Office because of the flexibility in switching between English and German. I uninstalled LibreOffice 184.108.40.206 and reinstalled 220.127.116.11 and the problem disappeared. The only difference in my installation of the newer build of LibreOffice was that I opted to let LibreOffice start when Window (8.1) opened. When I reinstalled 18.104.22.168, I did not opt to open Libre Office when Windows started.
Would you be willing to try with 5.2.1?
Unfortunately it hasn't been possible for me to reproduce the problem with the provided instructions. If possible, create and attach a screencast showing the steps. There are various free screencast software available for use, including Camstudio and screencast-o-matic.com.
