So orca is reading each letter when you move back and forward?
Comment 3 V Stuart Foote 2016-10-07 23:34:41 UTC
Confirming on Windows 8.1 Ent 64-bit en-US with NVDA 2016.3 and

When reentering the content textbox (STR step 6) the bullets are not read. Seem to be stuck in a parent element--the Assistive Technology lists the title and the content as outline elements.

It might read letters or even whole words, if they match Finnish language.

Dear all,

I can reproduce the issue on GNU/Linux with LibreOfficeDev 6 and LibreOffice 4.2 with Orca 3.16 and 3.24 (last release).

Best regards.
Comment 6 Alex ARNAUD 2017-07-19 16:39:14 UTC
Dear all,

I also noticed when you add a second slide the issue disappears.

Best regards.

Confirming this issue still exists as described on Windows 10 using LO 6.1.3.2 and NVDA 2018.4.1.

Also confirming when a second slide is added the issue disappears (on both the first and subsequent slides.

There is still an issue with trying to read all of the contents object - Using NVDA's read all command (INSERT+DOWN ARROW) only the current bullet point or line is read.
Comment 9 Buovjaga 2019-01-19 21:26:59 UTC
I can repro with latest NVDA all the way to LibreOffice 3.3.0.

I can't seem to get orca working at all right now, so cannot test on Linux.

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa
