In the bottom right corner of applications there's already a zoom slider, and a zoom level indicator on the status bar. Right click the percentage, and you get these choices, and even more. Isn't that good enough?

Isn't that good enough? status bar and zoom slider is very small on hight. i have bad eyesight. select type of zoom from context menu of zoom slider uncomfortably also. icons on Sidebar solve this problem
What's wrong with the menu View > Zoom? Would be easily accessible per Alt+VZO (you need to press alt together with V and can optionally release it then).

I close this ticket as WORKSFORME since you agree with access via main menu. Status bars become more and more outdated (not my personal opinion) and should never be abused as toolbar/menu.

Once the menu is open you can press the keys to open the respective menu (works for all items, have a look for the underlined charcter, which is sometimes visible only when alt is pressed). > Who speak about statusbar?
