LibreOffice Base on Windows 10. I have a Base Form with embedded Forms open (invoices). I open a Base Query (invoices). When going back to the form and scrolling through records while the query screen is still open, LibreOffice starts making copies of the Base file (*.odb) in %appdata%\Roaming\LibreOffice \4\user\backup at a rate of 5 per minute. I know that it's happening when LibreOffice becomes slow and unresponsive and the cursor starts changing to a circle about once a second. This is a longstanding issue that I have had in consecutive versions since version 3.x of OpenOffice and LibreOffice, on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10 respectively. Can't remember if I reported this earlier. In any case, I could not find it in the existing bug search.

A new observation. When working on a Writer document while the Base Query window is still open, the backups accelerate. But when I close the Base Query window, the backups stop, and right at that moment a backup copy of the Writer document appears. So it looks like some condition where LO tries to create a backup copy of a Writer document but somehow is blocked by Base. I don't know. Just an observation.
Could you create an example db with dummy data so we can test quicker? Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the file.
I anonymized data and table/column names. Furthermore anonymized labels, field names, etc in the LO Base application as needed. This forced me to delete the existing queries as it was too time consuming to manually update all field and table names, and create new ones. Now I am waiting for the issue to reproduce in the anonymized Base app. I will post the database and Base file when reproduction has occurred.
