Crash Report

Since upgrading to Mac OS Sierra LibreOffice Writer freezes after opening a document. This does not appear to happen with Calc? I have pasted the crash report into the preview section. The suite has performed admirably upto this point – and the issue probably lay with Apple rewiring the OS. As an experiment I installed the Legacy Java 1.6 runtime to no effect.

Bug occurs post MacOS Sierra (10.12) upgrade.

@mwastling : Thanks for the Apple trace, but we need more information if we are to attempt to reproduce this behaviour.

What were you doing in the Writer document when it crashed ?

What kind of document had you opened ?

Please provide a reproducibly-crashing sample document, otherwise this will be difficult to confirm.

Your report indicates that your hardware is a Macbook Pro (12"):

The bottom line indicates that you have connected this to an external Thunderbolt 27" monitor. Could you tell us what screen resolution you are running the monitor at ?

Setting NEEDINFO, please set back to UNCONFIRMED once you have provided all of the requested information.

This could be a duplicate of 100994, but we need to be able to either rule that out, or else confirm that this report is a duplicate.

There is definitely no 27" thunderbolt display attached - I might be able to afford a MacBook Pro but apple charge even sillier prices for Monitors.

This is my Hardware:

Resolution 2560x1600 227ppi
2015 13.3" MacBook Pro
2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
8GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 memory
128GB PCIe-based HD
Intel Iris Graphics 6100

The problem occurs only when opening documents with writer. The liberoffice launcher appears, I click on the documents I wish to edit, the writer interface appears with the document in the view shortly followed by the spinning beachball of death. Force quitting the application is then required.

Prior to the Sierra update everything was ok.

Interestingly, Calc works fine.
