Description Florian Kraus 2016-10-11 15:28:34 UTC
I would like to change a sentence that is written in Liberation Sans (Size 12) to appear in bold letters. The sentence contains subscript and superscript. When I mark the sentence using the mouse (left button + drag) or when I mark the sentence using the keyboard (shift + arrow keys), the Font Selection switsches automatically from "Liberation Sans" to "Times" as soon as I get in contact with a subscript. Then, pressing the "B" button to make it bold does not do anything. Additionally the size of the text is shown to be 18, whic is however not true.
I can make the letters and symbols only bold if I selected those next to the subscripts, dashes (-) as well as superscripts one by one and press B. This is really an effort to get a sentence that contains a lot of sub- and superscripts (i.e. chemical formula) into bold.

I'm running the current libre office new version 5.2. The bug existed also in previous versions, but not in 4.x

Hi Florian,

Thank you for reporting the bug. I've attempted to reproduce the problems with the steps you provided but wasnt able to do so, which likely means that it is something affecting your particular document, so please attach it or a stripped down version of it, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug.

This file shows it. If the curser is in the second line, font type and size is ok. If i select the second line, font changes to Times, 18 Bold. Clicking on bold does not do anything.

Hi Florian,

Times is defined in the 'Formatvorlage Uberschrift' character style which has been assigned to all the text in the document. Changing this to the 'Default Style' character style will no longer will no longer show Times when selected.
