Description Regina Henschel 2016-10-20 14:12:31 UTC
1. Make a text document with a linked image and save it.
2. Rotate the image by 90°.
3. Save the document to new target.

OR
2. Apply a filter e.g. "Charcoal Sketch" to the image.

If you compare the two versions, you will notice, that the image is no longer linked but embedded. But that was not told.

You can see the expected behavior, if you do
1. Make a text document with a linked image and save it.
2. Call "Edit contour" from Context menu > Wrap
3. Use the pipette in the Contour editor.
You get a confirm box, which ask whether to embed the image.

Because embedding has severe consequences, it should not be done automatically. In the current UI, linking an image is an intentional decision of the user, LibreOffice should never change it without asking.

At least a confirmation is needed.
