Description Klaus Angi 2016-11-01 16:37:38 UTC
I created a new file in Calc and saved it (name)
While workink with it, I copied that file by ordering: save to (new name),
because I needed a simular file for another customer....

I worked a while with the new-created file (new name) and wanted after that to swtch back to the first file (name) by choosing its (name) in pull-downn-menue-> ´Windows´ ...

Exact in that moment, when I klicked the (name)-file, this opened and got in the same step ´wiped´.
I try to say: everything in the spread-sheet got delated; the texts in several cells as well as the formatting in cell-sizes and -colors. Just the name of the original file was left ...(name) -wiped empty to a data-Rest-Volume of 6,7 KB .

The simular second one has 158 KB.

The recovery-function ´steps-backwards/forewards´ did not work any more (grey)
Now I do not have any ideas, where the volume of that single file could have
gone to.
After restarting the program libre office did´t offer -as usual- a restoration
of the lost datas... (recovering all 4 minutes)

How could I find out, where the bug is coming from?
Klaus

So can you reproduce the problem with completely new files?

There was an issue with autosave that was fixed in 5.1.6 (bug 96607). I'd suggest updating, and seeing if the issue happens again (you could also consider upgrading to 5.2.3).
