Description: When I move my mouse over menu items the will flicker a bit. A specially noticeable with menu items with a icon. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open LO Writer 2. Choose a menu (for example Format) 3. This is a known limitation of the GDI rendering implemented with the new HarfBuzz common text layout engine. If you are able to activate OpenGL rendering the UI will be stable, but there are some issues with OpenGL rendering particularly using the sm Math formula editor.
I can’t reproduce such flickering.

You're right, with OpenGL everything everything is working normal. Thanks for the tip!
