Description jlbraga 2016-11-17 20:36:53 UTC
Some characters go over the line, like the ps and the gs. Wouldn't it be cool to have an underline option which could "stop" a really small distance before the place where the character crosses the line and then "continue" a small distance after that place? I don't mean to stop when it hits the entire character's place, because that would seem too "unnatural" to the desired effect...

Such adaptive underlining would require ability to use metric for OpenType or Graphite fonts that define it. Don't have it yet, see bug 58941

AAT defined metric should also be used on OS X.
