1) make range selection in a new sheet 2) draw cell border of default size and double line style around the selection 3) save the sheet as somename.ods 4) save the sheet as somename.xls 5) reopen this ods file -> will be without border 6) reopen this xls file -> will be with border It was reported for the previous version, managed, finally marked resolved and in next version the same error persists. Repair it already, please.
Attach a simple test document then set to UNCONFIRMED. Also - you can poke at the code and fix it yourself, code is readily available.
I don't think an example file will do any good as this is about saving to .ods. It works fine for me exactly with the repro steps - meaning I do not reload the .ods before saving as .xls. Pavel didn't specify whether he searched for bugs, seems so, but didn't wrote those other bugs to see if this is a duplicate or regression. This bug then wasn't triaged well and Joel's comment was of no help. Pavel had problem with ODS, Buovjaga didn't, I had ODS fine with double border but XLS with single line border. Up to 5.4 there are multiple double borders, didn't test whether they work the same. From 6.0+ there's only one. This bug has been in Needinfo status for over 6 months. It's not likely any new info or sample will be added. So this will be closed as Insufficient Data. This may be related to similar Bug 88827 or still open Bug 75260.
