@sawakaze : I think that this has been fixed in master already, but possibly not yet backported to 5.3.
Comment 3 Alex Thurgood 2016-12-19 08:34:46 UTC
For me, this is possibly a duplicate of bug 104227
Comment 4 Alex Thurgood 2016-12-19 08:37:01 UTC
However, we need more information.

@sawakaze : what kind of database are you attempting to create : Firebird or HSQLDB ?

Please specify, so that we can decide whether this is a duplicate of an existing bug, or possibly one that has already been fixed.
Comment 5 Alex Thurgood 2016-12-19 08:40:14 UTC
Or possibly even a duplicate of bug 103515
Comment 6 Alex Thurgood 2016-12-19 08:42:20 UTC
@sawakaze : try turning off autorecovery to see if that provides a reasonable workaround - if so, then your report is probably a DUP of bug 103515, which is not yet fixed.

fernandoprezgmez: version must correspond to the oldest one.

System information :

OS : Ubuntu 17.04 zeasty (i686)
Cinnamon version : 3.4.6
Linux Kernel :4.10.0-33 generic
Processor : Intel core2 duo P8700 @ 2.53GHz x 2
RAM 1.9 Gb

Libreoffice Version :Versión: 5.3.1.2
Id. de compilación: 1:5.3.1-0ubuntu2
I will try to explain myself step by step:
First of all I open the LibreOffice Base application and choose the option to create a new database, I can name it and assign it to a folder for saving it, once I accept LibreOffice Base it stops working
Secondly I address the target folder and the file has been created and I am able to open it, but when I click on the tables button the application closes again
I have updated the operating system (the problem started on the computer I have described with ubuntu 16.04 LTS), I uninstalled from the software center and installed from terminal and the problem continued, uninstall it again and try it from synaptic adding all the packages Related to Libreoffice and does not solve

I find it impossible to make screenshots because the processes are very fast
I hope I have exposed the problem clearly and provided the necessary data

fernandoprezgmez: version must correspond to the OLDEST one. Please don't put a newer version in this field.

I solved the problem by removing LibreOffice and installing OpenOffice. Thanks for your null help

fernandoprezgmez:
1) it seems we must tell 2 times something (here version) so you understand
2) you posted yesterday and expect everybody rushes in to provide you a solution ASAP
3) you don't ever wonder if LO 5.3.1 is the last stable LO version.
Indeed, you can find a more recent version in LO ppa. (last stable one is 5.3.5.2).
Instead of complaning about null help, think about these points.

I preferred to calm down before I answered
First of all, I've had problems with your word processor for more than three years (text that disappears when printing, tables that are deformed when exporting or importing from docx, etc ...) and with the database application (reports that do not Spontaneous interruptions ...). That's why I guarantee that I have thought it well
Secondly, I DO NOT INSTALL THE LATEST VERSION VOLUNTARILY, but Canonical updated it
So as I have to work with people who use MSOffice mostly, I consider that the OpenOffice worksheet is better and is the application that I use the most. For the moment I quit LibreOffice (I even find clearer online help for OpenOfiice)
Sincerely, I'm sorry to have offended you, but I have to adapt to the situation, if I have to do the process manually, I prefer OpenOffice
I repeat my apologies, but if I have thought it well
