Created attachment 129829 [details] 2 pdf files show the results on windows and max os, odm and odt Date is defined with Custom Properties. Date is shown in odt correctly on windows7 and mac os x. Date is shown in odm file still correct (dd.mm.yy); however, wrong (mm/dd/yy) on max os x. Attached are 4 very simple files.
@Wolfgang : please indicate - which language version of LibreOffice you are using, i.e. which language pack you have installed; - what your system locale (language) is and the default date setting ; - what setting you have chosen for date string acceptance in LibreOffice (Preferences - Linguistic Settings - Languages - Acceptable date formats) - whether you have activated the setting "Ignore System Language Settings" (to be found in the same dialog as above)
which language version of LibreOffice I was using: on Windows: Tools --> Options --> Language Settings --> Languages Locale Setting: German (Switzerland) on Mac OS: LibreOffice --> Preferences --> Language Settings --> Languages Locale Setting: Default - English (USA) I fixed Local Setting to German (Switzerland).
