@Bruno : sorry, but could you be a bit more precise ? A screenshot would help.

What do you mean when you write "I am able to see the icons, but there is no text visible" ? Where is there no text ? Where should the text be ?

When you mention the Preferences pane, which part doesn't display correctly ?

Which icon theme are you using ?

Which system default font are you using ?

what you have if for example you want to record the file. The icon appears but no text.

to elaborate on the different other questions. No text appears at all on the preference pane. I will forward you in the following day a screenshot of this also. The theme used is the default one coming with the installation. No specific theme has been chosen and for the default font I don't know. When reading the preference pane in a working libre office there is no clear information on the font. Where do you want me to search for that ?

And happy new year to all of you and thank you again for all these efforts

Thanks for the screenshots Bruno, I understand now. However, I can not reproduce your problem on any of my Mac machines, irrespective of LibreOffice version.

By any chance, in your LibreOffice preferences, can you see whether OpenGL is activated ? If it is, try deactivating it, and restarting LibreOffice.

@Bruno : which hardware are you running LibreOffice on ? (Mac obviously, but what kind, which graphics card, screen size/type, resolution, etc)
