Insert -> New Slide in Notebookbar is not producing any action (not creating new slides) both on Insert -> Slide as well as on Home -> New slide.

It has been pushed to "master":

tdf#105682 : fixed Insert Slide buttons

It will be available in 5.4.0.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at
