Description Uwe Altmann 2017-02-15 15:53:58 UTC
To easily create a copy of a draw object, (at least on MaxOS) you can use the mouse and do a cmd-drag to get a duplicate. This works fine in draw. In Writer, to get the same you have to shift-alt-drag instead.
This should be consistent in all modules.
It seems Shift-alt-drag is Mac UI standard (at least it is used in TextEdit to duplicate text).
(Bug 103889 is not affected - it refers to windows).

When I shift+alt+drag an object in Writer it disappears but shows up later on enter, or the like. Shift+alt+drag alters the drag cursor differently to ctrl+drag, which copies the shape (but an interaction is also needed). I guess shift+alt+drag has a different functionality.

In Draw I do not get any feedback from the cursor but the shape itself is copy-dragged. Works much better, IMHO.
