Description:
Even though the recovery option is set to 3 minutes, when Writer messed up a save (reported as separate Bug 106086) I looked in the backup folder in vain - it is empty.

It appears that my Writer does not save any backups.

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
...is applicable...I set the backup times to pretty short intervals (3mins), there was a document loss and voilá, no backup files...

Reproducible: Always

Hi CommodusTheTyrant,

Check also "Always create a backup copy" and try again.
Does it work?
Comment 2 CommodusTheTyrant 2017-02-20 01:21:21 UTC
yeah, 'always create a backup copy' places a file in there, but it is not every 3 minutes like I set the intervals, it looks more like it creates a copy when I save?

nope, you are right - it started creating backups ... weird way to set it up (doesn't feel intuitive that I set the backups to every 3 minutes, yet nothing is created) - I thought this backup copy create was just when I save my file.

anyways, thanks
