Hello,
would you be so kind as to translate the description into English as LibreOffice is an international project where many languages are spoken an English is used as the default one? Thanks

If you are installing from a network drive, the error 1335 suggests a permission issue for one of the .CAB files in the installer.

I suggest you download the full .msi installer from LibreOffice directly [1]--or from one of our mirrors--and then check its HASH value to be sure the package is not corrupt. HASH value(s) will be listed in a MirrorBrain summary for the package reached via the "Details" or the "Info" links.

Once you know you have a valid installation package, then run your installation from the Windows command window with commands:

msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_5.3.0.3_Win_x64.msi

You can capture installation log by appending " /L*v verboseLog.txt", which will be needed if you still have issues. Adjust your command line to match the package name and bitness, x86_64 or x86, you downloaded.

After the main program installs, you could do the same for the help pack:

msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_5.3.0.3_Win_x64_helppack_pt.msi

Of course the download and installation would be from a local drive on the system, i.e. the C: drive, of you Windows system, and *not* on a network share.

Also, with the multiple installation attempts you may have to clear the MSInstaller cache by unregistering the service, and then registering it again.

So from a command window (run as Administrator):

Enter
   msiexec /unregister

followed by
   msiexec /regserver

Got error: error 1335 libreoffice 1.cab when upgrading from file:

LibreOffice_5.3.4_Win_x64.msi

but if I am installing from file (the previous attempt to upgrade LibreOffce deleted my copy of the program):

LibreOffice_5.3.4_Win_x86.msi

did not get error.

---------------------------------------

My OS is Windows 7 SP1 64 bit. Dont know what the previous version of LibreOffice was.

---------------------------------------

IT IS REALLY ANNOYING that you delete the old version of LibreOffice before verifying the cab file. Can cause the user real problems - no office installed on their PC.

Remains NEEDINFO to OP.

(In reply to tjdurso from comment #5)

Unclear what you've done. So at this point for your case, I would uninstall all vestiges of LibreOffice including your user profile in "%APPDATA%\LibreOffice".

And then clean the Windows registry--including HKCU - "SOFTWARE\The Document Foundation", and HKLM - "SOFTWARE\The Document Foundation", "SOFTWARE\LibreOffice" but also for same in "SOFTWARE\WOW6432node".

Download a new copy of either 64-bit or 32-bit build (either will run on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit) directly from the project archive here http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/5.3.4.2/win/

Do not store on a network resource, instead save onto a local HDD/SSD. Then verify the HASH value of your download against the package "details" link provided with the archive. Only then proceed to install.

If with those installation steps (to avoid mixing prior 32-bit and a new 64-bit install) it should resolve things for you--post back if it does not.

Otherwise the NEEDINFO and this issue remains open for OP.
