We need more information here:
- LO version
- steps to reproduce the bug

You can try this:
- check if you use last stable LO version 5.2.5
- apply advice from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps

Fortunately the crash report [1] has most of the details...

Libre Office 5.2.2.2
OS details 10.0.14393
Build Architecture x86 (So 32-bit Windows 10)
OpenGL disabled
Intel GPU 0x191b (So HD Graphics 530 on an i7 Skylake CPU)
OpenGLDriver 21.20.16.4534 (15.45.xx -- 6 Oct 2016; latest is .4590 -- 3 Feb 2017)

Except that we need OP's input describing:

1. STR (what were you doing and can you repeat it so we can try?)
2. was there a specific slide or transition causing this? Helpful to provide a sample document...
3. effect of enabling OpenGL rendering?
4. effect of disabling Hardware acceleration?
5. does update of the Intel 15.45 driver to the current .4590 build [2] resolve?

graphics cards: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M, Intel HD Graphics 530

screen resolution: 3840 x 2160
total graphics memory: 8275MB

when starting slideshow (function key F5), libreoffice crashes. The error message states:
"could not create offscreen surface - out of mem!"
This happens regardless of the document that has been opened.

Still need answers to these.

I wonder why LibreOffice is using Intel graphics, even though Nvidia is available.

Also, might be interesting to try 5.3. You could even use the safe mode: Help - Restart in Safe mode.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided more information.
