Open and closed Bèzier with same path besides z command

Open attached file. It has an closed and an open "drop" and a picture with a screen shot, how it looks while editing. The closed and the open object have the same path besides the fact, that the closed object has a final z command and the open one not. The first and last point of the Bézier curve have the same position.

Save the document to a new file and reopen the resaved file. The open curve is closed now.
