Description photoanimator-libre 2017-03-14 18:02:21 UTC
Description:
In creating slides in Draw, I imported PDF single pages and then cropped them to specific sections of those pages (as trial exhibits for sections of depositions and evidence). For the first few slides this worked without issue, but in subsequent slides the thumbnails on the left were not showing the full cropped section - just a sliver of it. In later slides (16 total) the PDF image was displaying as expected in the slide itself, but when I clicked off to another slide then came back to the slide with the newly created PDF image, the image was gone - leaving just the bounding box and/or shadow of the border if applied - as if it had 100% transparency applied, but it did not. I then tried to export it as a PDF file to see if it reappeared in the export, but it did not.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Re tried many times by deleting and reinserting PDF image, but with the same results.
2. Tried deleting the slide itself and recreating it, with same results.
3. Tried creating new project and still had the same results.
4. Reverted to opening the PDF page in Gimp, then saving it as a JPG and importing it as an image and cropping it, and that still works as expected.

Actual Results:
The only way to resolve the issue (work around) was to open the PDF page in Gimp, then save it as a JPG, then import the JPG version into Draw.

Expected Results:
Already explained above.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No.

Additional Info:
No I didn't try to reset the user profile because the glitch appears to be a display refresh error because it works as expected in the first few slides, but then in the following slides the image of the cropped PDF (even happens with no cropping) does not display in the thumbnails, but the in later slides the image is invisible in the slide even though it may (or may not) display in the thumbnail.
