Description: Open a writer file, put two or more paragraphs into it. After having checked that the "keep paragraphs together" setting is DISABLED (please note that the setting name is translated form the italian version, I am not 100% sure this is its name in English), save it in docx format and close it. On reopening the file, you will find that the above setting was forced ENABLED. On 98% of the documents, this corrupts the layout completely and the documents looks VERY different from the one you saved, with a lot of empty spaces in many of the pages. If you select all, forcibly DISABLE the setting and save it again in docx format, on reopening the problem will be there again. Steps to Reproduce: 1. create writer doc 2. save it as docx with no "keep paragraphs together" 3. reopen it and the setting is incorrectly on Actual Results: You always get the above setting enabled when saving as docx, whatever was its status in the file. Layout disruption ensues Expected Results: the "keep paragraphs together" setting should stay on only in paragraphs where you enabled it, and not elsewhere Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0
Do you mean 'Keep with next paragraph' inside Text Flow in paragraph Style?
And if you save/reopen in "native" ODF? Note that OOXML formatting, i.e. to .docx, is always filtered. Any divergence in the paragraph style "roundtrip" is in the filter process (on export, or while importing).
Seems to be the same as: Bug 98700 - FILESAVE: "keep with next paragraph" <w:keepNext/> Wrongly Set When Save as DOCX Jacques
(In reply to Jacques Guilleron from comment #3) > Seems to be the same as: > Bug 98700 - FILESAVE: "keep with next paragraph" <w:keepNext/> Wrongly Set > When Save as DOCX Agree, thought I'd seen that at some point. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98700 ***
