To Repro: 
* Open the Slide Master view
* Do any changes to one of the master slide
* Close the Master slide view
* Look into one of the slide properties, try clicking on the Master slide selector drop down and observe than the list is blank. 

If I close and restart libreoffice, I can see elements in the Master slide selector in the properties screen.

Can you reproduce, if you launch from the command line with
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk libreoffice

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
