Description Vadim Zelenov 2017-03-22 11:07:19 UTC
Description:
I would like to create templates with adjusted styles and I would like to block the styles (to make future style formatting not possible for other users).
Other users must write their documents with the use of the styles that I created, they must not have a permission to add new styles or to change the old ones.
Is it possible to add such a function?

Actual Results:
No possibility to ajust a template the way I want.

Expected Results:
A special button which will set a password for all style management functions.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I ask you to add this function because MS Word doesn't have it. If you help me, another 10-20 workers will join LibreOffice Universe. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer, so I cannot do it myself.

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for the request.
I think in the UI this could be possible.
Preventing users to change the content of styles.xml is a different problem.

How is that possible in Libreoffice? I cannot find it. Could you please send a printscreen with the window where I can add this restriction? I spent a couple of ours to find this function. Please, help me.

I hope my explanations are not that twisted. Once again, I need a possibility to block styles management tools (add, delete, change styles) on a scale of one template. I want other users to open the template and start writing their documents using the styles that I have created. Lets say if I just simply ask them not to edit styles, they will probably ignore that. If authors of the document use other styles, that means additional problems for post-processing of the documents which is done by means of some scripts (macros).

Thank you for your response!

I meant to say that I think it is possible to create that function :)
