Description yousifjkadom 2017-03-22 22:05:10 UTC
Hi. I'm on Fedora Linux 24 X64 Cinnamon edition. I used LibreOffice to create power point document in English language. I set it's contents on left to right alignment. Problem is that just closing power point then re-opening it, it's alignment will changed automatically into right to left !! What ever I tried to realign it's content with left to right, it will return right to left just after closing document (after saving changes) & reopening it !! I have to realign it with left to right each time I open it !!

I set LibreOffice language as following:

- Arabic UI
- UAE default locale
- Right to left is default document direction (BUT I ALREADY CHANGED IT TO LEFT TO RIGHT JUST BEFORE ENTERING POWER POINT CONTENTS though I did not change default setting)

I'm waiting new version of LibreOffice to be available from official Fedora repositories. I does not like to install application from outside repositories unless AppImage. Is there AppImage for LibreOffice ? If yes, kindly, give me link to it.

Hi. I tried to download version 4.0.0 L.O on Windows 7 X64 bit, but after installation launching program failed (can be installed but can not launched) ! I tried both X32 & X64 bit version of L.O 4.0.0 !!

Please any other person can follow this bug & test it on L.O 4.0.0 beta 2 ?? I can not investigate !

Hi. please can you re-test this issue from your side. I'm unable to test it because I'm on Fedora 26 & last L.O version in Fedora 26 repositories is 5.3.7.2

I tried to use AppImage to run L.O version 6 but it did not worked on my system & I already opened a bug about that:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115959

So, I can not use L.O version 6

Please give attention for this bug because I think that it is still existing ....

Hi. This bug is really fixed ! I finally test it on my Fedora 26 x64 bit Cinnamon edition using LibreOffice version 6.0 AppImage. I used same language setting that produced this bug on my installed L.O & the alignment is very O.K I closed & re-opened file many time & no change in alignment (remain left to right as it).

I tried to edit contents then save then close then re-open & alignments remain same (left to right).

Many thanks for your hard efforts !
