1. Create a new list.
2. Edit Page Style / Text Grid / Grid ( lines and characters ).
Now the list created in the first step is broken into two lines for each item.
( Or open the attached file directly. ).

Mark Hung committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "master":


tdf#106736 do not insert kern portion before tab portion.

It will be available in 5.4.0.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More
