Description:
writing a new document, and selected Save As. when choosing another folder, and to create a sub folder, libreoffice writer stopped responding. Windows reported app had stopped responding.

Thankfully document recovery works, and I did not lose any data. bravo!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. edit new document
2. select save as
3. decide to select a different folder in the directory tree, and attempt to right click - create a new folder.

5.2.6.2 same crash
5.3.2.2 same crash

Here is the crash from 5.3.2.2
crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/b5979dba-9fe7-4931-ab88-f7f43e0c9988

to recreate, I just typed some words in a new document, then save as.
Whilst in save as, I right clicked new folder, and crash.

Extra note: Libreoffice notified me that my document (containing the random words I just typed), would be recovered. It was not recovered. Perhaps something to do with first saving of a document.

Investigated further.

it's specific to one machine. Even with a clean uninstall/delete libreoffice folder/reinstall. The same crash occurs. Resigning myself to fact cannot use Libreoffice on specific machine without rebuilding.

Two further machines one install via upgrade, and another clean install on 5.3.2.2 do not see this problem. This concurs with what you see.

Thanks for your comments.

Is OpenGL enabled on that machine?

I've attached the opengl extensions viewer output, and screen grab of GPU Z output. It's a standard Intel GMA chipset.

Ok, OpenGL is not enabled in LibreOffice as UI render is default.

I see this issue is still reproducible in 5.4.2.2 -> http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/signature/shell32.dll

@Tom romasz,
Could you please download a debug build from here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ( the ones with -dbg at the end ), and get a backtrace as explain here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#Windows:_How_to_get_a_backtrace ?

Xisco,
Apologies for length of time.
I have just tried to action this request. There are no Windows x64 dbg builds that I can see at the requested location (only linux). Windows x64 required to recreate the exact problem on my machine.

Yep, we have never had 64-bit debug builds, which is unfortunate. Even our 32-bit debug builds are gone since many weeks/months.

Do you mean you have tested with a 32-bit LibreOffice and the problem does not occur? If not, you could install this 32-bit master build:
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/

It installs parallel to your stable one, so it will not mess anything up.

Hi Tom.romasz,
Could you please try why Buovjaga is asking ?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build
