Description Francesco Valotto 2017-04-15 08:50:15 UTC
When you cut & paste a cell with a comment many times (not always) the comment in the pasted cell is present but is empty

Please is the issue always with the same file?, what are the steps when usually you have the issue?, with a single cell range, between sheets?

Can attach a file where you find the issue?
Comment 2 Sebastien edouard 2017-04-15 12:25:44 UTC
Tried to reproduce the bug. The comment was present in the cell every time. Please give more information so that the bug can be reproduced.

Yes, I try it only in one file: a 233kb file with a lot of comments. Normally I select a little range of cells in the same colon and put a comment in the first cell up. From when I upgrade the version I realized that when I move a set of cells (normally 3 or 4 cells: I use it as "a map" of the use of some rooms) with cut&paste the comment of the new cells is present but is empty. Before I realized it I've lost some important comments....

Soyy but I can't attach the file: It contains personal information of customers on mine!

Please try to create a file with no personal info and that shows the bug.

Is the issue still present in the LibO5.3 branch? It probably fixed (bug 106590)
Comment 7 QA Administrators 2018-01-02 10:15:22 UTC Comment hidden (obsolete)

When copy and use paste special (text, comment, format) then the comment is not empty. But without the past special there some rare results.

Thanks, Xavier. As you could repro with an older version, but not newer ones, we can close this.
