Description: Linux Mint 18 XFCE x86_64 LO version: 5.3.1.2. Not sure which version is the earliest affected. Using the one I have now, but I have experienced it before, in earlier versions. Randomly, sometimes, when navigating in the menus (File, Edit, ..., About) and open dialogs (like Save, ctrl + S, closing the document, or others dialogs) the menu and dialogs will show up, but won't display the entry boxes, or labels and texts, just being gray (the same gray from the background). I still can interact with it, as saving the document as I know the button is still there, I will press "enter" and the document will be saved. But "I'm blind", as I can't really see what I'm doing. I'm attaching a picture for better understanding. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Not sure how to reproduce it because it happens randomly. Most on Writer and I figure it out just when it stops working. Actual Results: The menus and dialogs are all gray and making it harder to navigate and interact with it. The "hidden" buttons are still functional. Expected Results: The menus and dialogs should be visible and able to navigate and interact with it. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0

I already have the same problem under Ubuntu 16.04 (Unity), but with all opened applications. Closing and restarting my session fixes the problem. In your case, when this problem occurs, do you experience it in other opened applications like Firefox or Thunderbird? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested information is provided. Best regards. JBF
No, the problem was just in LO. Just killing the application or closing it (trying to save the files in the blindly way) and reopening it fixed the problem. It will work flawessly for days. But once in a while, I get this problem. This is, probably, something specific to this notebook, as I have other one (another hardware, another manufacturer) with the same OS and I don't experience it. Thanks for your help =)
Hello, Thanks for reporting this bug. Could you please copy the version from Help - About Libreoffice in order to know which VCL plugin you use? On the other hand, do you use any Screen Reader along with LibreOffice?
Hi, there we go: Versão: 5.2.1.2 ID de compilação: 1:5.2.1~rc2-0ubuntu1~trusty0 Threads da CPU:8; Versão do SO: Linux 4.4; Realizador da interface: padrão; Local: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); Calc: group Thanks!
The VCL backend is not showing because displaying it was implemented in a later version. anonimou_eu: could you install LibreOffice version 5.3?

If I get any new gray dialog, on this new version, I will let you know. Thanks all
