Description: I am writing a book. I entered the first chapter in single space and saved it. Every time I open the document, it is in double space. I use Ctrl-A, click on Line Spacing and select Single. This works, but when I re-open the document, it is double spaced and I have to do the routine to change it. I tried saving several times before closing, but it doesn't work. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open document - it is double spaced. 2. Save as single space. 3. Close and re-open. it is double spaced. Actual Results: It is double spaced. Expected Results: It should remain single spaced. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I have never set up a template. Please attach an example document so we can examine it. You can create an anonymized version: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission#Sanitize_file_text Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the document.
Also, check the style applied to the paragraphs. Defaults would have the Default paragraph with Single line spacing within a paragraph, but text body would have our odd 120% proportional within the paragraph. And if entering a CR rather than allowing wrap the style will include before and after spacing between paragraphs. But as Buovjaga notes we need a sample document to review your issue.
Hello, I "fixed" the problem by going through Format>Page and making changes then changing them back a few times. I kept saving it until it started saving in single line mode. I'm sorry I don't know which changes "fixed" it, but it may have been the fact that I changed something and changed it back that did it. Thanks, David
