Entering array constants with multiple columns is not possible for me. The examples from https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Array_Functions: ={1;2;3} should result in "An array with one row consisting of the three numbers 1, 2, and 3" but results in an array with one column and three rows with the values 1, 2 and 3 instead. ={1;2;3|4;5;6} should result in "An array with two rows and three values in each row." For me this gets automatically converted to ={1;2;3;4;5;6} without notice and results in a one column six row array. German localization if that matters. First noticed on 5.3.3.2 build 3d9a8b on Windows 7 x64 Reproduced on 4.8.2.8 build 420m0(Build:2) on Ubuntu 14.04.2 I can provide more information if needed.

Thank you, that did the job. Seems I didn't read the preface on the german wiki page https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Array_Functions/de where this is stated. One could argue about highlighting this important info so that it stands out more. Anyways, sorry for the noise!
I have written bug 1088090 for the request to improve the help to give more information about the separators in inline array. I close this report.
