Description Dan Devor 2017-05-27 18:22:13 UTC
I have several files that have been 'worked over'(repeatedly modified) that all display normally when using Libre writer. When attempting to assemble them by using Insert-section they behave in strange ways. Sometimes a file will be in 4 columns when the original is in 2 columns. Sometimes the heading acquires the heading of the file to which it is being attached (or vice versa) and I have not been able to edit the heading to the correct one for the file.

Ubuntu 16.04

5.1 branch is EOL and 5.2 will be soon.
Could you give a try to a recent LO version (5.2.7 or even better 5.3.3)?

Dan: following your email in private, here are some elements.

First you can comment the bugtracker by using this link:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108182#

Then, you talked about "LO 3.1". 3.1 is very old version, I suggested 5.2.7 or 5.3.3 version not a 3.X version.
To be sure, uninstall any LO version from your computer, rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#GNU.2FLinux) and install last one from ppa, https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa (1:5.3.3~rc2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo0)

Finally, you talked about several bugs, let's begin with the one concerning Insert-Section, 1 problem per bugtracker so it's easy to follow.

Could you attach a example file by using this link https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=108182&action=enter ?
