Description Kevin 2017-06-02 00:49:36 UTC
Description:
The default cursor position for the Custom cell background is in a place that never helps and always costs extra work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. select a cell and choose background/custom color
note: if one of your templates had the same colors as Excel, users wouldn't have to return so often to this, nor would they have to memorize the numbers for each shade of grey
Note that the cursor is before the 3-digit color code

Actual Results:
Note that the cursor is before the 3-digit color code

Expected Results:
first field should be selected so the user can just type - there is almost no chance that adding digits BEFORE the existing numbers will be what the user wants

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
You'll call this "trivial" but consider that each of the formatting widgets of this program is a tool that users apply in menial fashion over and over and over. If you save a user one click, you save him or her untold thousands of clicks. (I call this an enhancement because Excel is even worse in this regard).

This is true everywhere this button exists, not only in Calc.

Pick a color: hex field selected

So in order to fully understand this enhancement, I added the above screenshot.

Basically, you want that the cursor is in the text field of the hex code and it is entirely selected?
