After marking any part of the spreadsheet The option Data-Pivot-Create does not appear. Data-Pivot gives me only two options that are grey, thus impossible to choose: Update & Delete.

This occured after downloading version 5.2.7.2

What version should I download? I am extremely dependant on having access to the Pivot function

Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

Updating to 5.3 solved the problem. Thank you!
