Created attachment 134205 [details] Documents required to recreate this bug The attached zip file contains a document (bug_test.ods) which makes use of the data from the bug_test.odb database to do a mail merge. The database is connected to the spreadsheet bug_test.ods. When opening the mail merge wizard, progress stops at the salutation page and does not continue with the 'next' button.

This bug is still present in this version: Version: 5.3.3.2 (x64) Build ID: 3d9a8b4b4e538a85e0782bd6c2d430bafe583448 CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default; Layout Engine: new; Locale: en-AU (en_AU); Calc: group
(In reply to Conor from comment #9) @Conor : > This bug is still present in this version: > > Version: 5.3.3.2 (x64) > Build ID: 3d9a8b4b4e538a85e0782bd6c2d430bafe583448 > CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default; Layout Engine: > new; > Locale: en-AU (en_AU); Calc: group Unfortunately, you will need to test against a current production release (either 7.0 or 6.4.5.2) of LibreOffice, no one is going to fix 5.3.x bugs today, as that version has been end of life for quite a while now.
Tested in Version 7. You can now complete the salutation or click 'Finish' to complete the mail merge wizard without a salutation. However, if Mail Merge Email settings have not been entered in the application options, clicking 'Finish' does not work. The window is closed, no emails are sent and no error message is presented. An error message should come up letting the user know that they have to enter Mail Merge Email settings to use the mail merge wizard if they select 'Email message' on the Select Document Type page of the wizard.
